I’ve just discovered a fantastic new website dedicated to the study and practice of Word of Mouth Marketing.

Called The Society for Word of Mouth (SWOM), it is essentially another social network site, only this time the members are the ones you want to really be with.

Some of the best names in the business are already members and have contributed some great articles already. Be warned, this is a site for committed marketers and business people (new and old) who like to read, write and correspond with each other. A lot of serious discussion is already going on about strategies, tactics and results.

If you’re like me this sort of information is irresistible.

If you really want to learn what marketing is all about and how to do it properly, then this is the site to join.

If you want quick fixes, then you should probably go elsewhere.
