I followed you link to that great article - thanks. It's refreshing to see after hearing about dozens of spamming (whoops I mean linking) strategies over the years and how they were all caught eventually. The latest I am following is the "do follow" spamming strat... I mean linking strategy. So it is possible that a new and superior algorithm will emerge that will knock down Google Domination. Good. Looking forward to that. Regards - nice post.

Scott,

I'm still trying to get my head around it all.

Im trying dapper, and have had some correspondence with the dapper techs, but at this stage it still seems vey much an area for the engineers and techs.

I'm just glad they are people like you to translate it into somewhat slightly more understandable form.

We live in interesting times.

Thank you for the mention about my post on semantic marketing. I agree with you wholeheartedly that the semantic web elevates King Content to Master of the Universe.

One of the early ways I think we'll see a boost in the semantic web -- thanks to the Yahoo! announcement and the ripple effects it will trigger -- will be search engine optimization (SEO) folks making a strong push to lead the charge of this new type of site optimization. But I think it's far more than a linear extension of SEO as we know it today. I think of it as somewhat analogous to the paradigm shift from procedural programming (C) to object-oriented programming (C++). So I think of this new SEO as SEO++, if you will. The semantic web is rather object-oriented, right?

Love the posts on your blog. Will keep reading!
